Happy mother’s day to all the mothers out there! I’m so glad we are in Sarnia so I could spend the day with my mom. We had our morning coffee together, and waited for Brad to come over.
We didn’t really have anything planned for today, so we decided to go to the Great Canadian Bagel for lunch. They always make a great sandwich and we figured they would be less busy than most of the brunch spots in town. It was delicious!
After lunch my mom and I took the dogs for a walk on the beach at canatara.
I was hoping to find some beach glass for a project I want to make. Obviously it will be a bit different, but this is the general design.
We walked up and down the beach and I only found one lousy piece! Needless to say, that won’t be enough, so our next stop was Michael’s. I was able to pick up some glass and shells and even found a couple picture frames I think will work.
Michael’s also had these awesome pillows and they were buy one get one free! My mom bought them for us! They’re perfect for our new rolling beach house!
Today was a day of good deals! Before we went home we stopped into Giant Tiger and I found sheets that match our new quilt. They were king size sheets marked at $15! I thought that was a great deal, then I went up to pay and they rang in at $10!! Score!
I cut my moms grass this afternoon after all our running around. The grass was getting so long, so it took me forever to cut the backyard, but it looks much better!
We had pizza in front of the TV for dinner, then had to walk it off. We took the pups over to Germain and wore them out, running up and down hills and wandering through the flower gardens.
It was a full day, but it was fun. My mom has basically had a month of mother’s days because I’m home, and I’ve been cooking for her almost every night! I think she’s enjoying it!!
