Full Time Trailer Living: Day 334

I had planned on going for a run this morning, but our technology had other plans for me. Our drone worked yesterday, but it needed a firmware update, so I spent the morning trying to figure out how to update, which was not as simple as I thought it would be.

The good news is I multitasked, and got our new video uploaded at the same time!! So, although it was frustrating, it was also a productive morning!

Our drone is updated, and this is our newest video:

After all that hard work, obviously we had to have breakfast at the Overflow Cafe!! My Mom and Poppa met us there, and we had a great meal and visit.

Now that our drone was properly set up, Jeff was super eager to fly it again. So we decided to try a different area, and headed to the great lakes model in centennial park. We got some great shots, but we didn’t get to fly that long because I drained the battery during the update. Here’s a few shots that we got though:

We charged the battery while we had dinner, and it was ready just in time for sunset!! Our next drone flight location was canatara beach. At sunset. It was beautiful!!

I mean, look at that water!! Can you believe that’s Lake Huron, and not the Caribbean??

This drone is seriously epic!! I mean, we are definitely beginners, this is our first drone afterall, and the shots we are getting are unreal!! I can’t wait to see what we can do with it once we learn more about it!! If you’re interested, this is the drone we picked:

Really, I think all the DJI products are pretty good, but we have only ever tried the Mavic 2 Zoom, so we are partial to this one.

We had a pretty quiet evening after playing around with the drone all day. We had lots of footage to watch from our flights, so we just hung out at home and stared at our phones, which wasn’t all bad because I was able to connect with Kira (remember her and Logan stayed with us back in April??)

We obviously stay connected through social media, but tonight we spent easily an hour chatting. We are meeting back up with them this winter, and I hate to wish away summer, but I can’t wait until December when we get to hang out again! If you’re interested in their travels, they’ve recently started a blog of their own!

Check it out, and be sure to follow along on their journey!
We hope everyone has a safe and happy long weekend!!
