Full Time Trailer Living: Year 2, Day 9

What a crazy day!! We had a very long drive to Ayr, Ontario to get our slide looked at. Leisure Days is where we bought our trailer a few years ago, and they were the only rv place willing to help us.

Our drive was pretty uneventful, which is exactly the way I like it. We pulled into Ayr around 2pm, and they got right to work. Our technician George was super nice, and very knowledgeable. He showed Jeff how to manually override our slide, and diagnosed what was wrong with the slide.

While Jeff was assisting George, I decided to wander the lot. If you’re ever in the market for a trailer in southwestern Ontario, this is by far the best place to go. They have so many options, and they’re not pushy sales people. All the trailers are open, and you can literally walk in and out of every trailer at your own leisure.

This is one of my favorites that I walked through. It’s pretty similar to ours, both size wise and layout wise.

How sweet is this kitchen?? I think we could totally do something like that in our trailer. Maybe a future renovation??

Anyways, Jeff had a very productive day. It turns out, it was one of the motors that was pooched, and luck was on our side because they actually had one in stock!!! So not only did they replace it, George also showed him how to do it, in case the other one decides to crap out.

What a relief to have that fixed!! We celebrated with a delicious meal at five guys in London, and made it home by 8pm. It was a long day, and lots of driving, but totally worth it!!

Our trailer feels huge now!!

We are now one step closer to hitting the road, and now we’re even back on track to leave around the 15th or 16th!!
