I was so excited for today. Our plan was to go to The Living Desert. This place looked awesome, and I wanted to go last year, but it’s not pet friendly, and we weren’t comfortable leaving the pups alone last year. This year is a different story.
So one of the main reasons we wanted to go to The Living Desert was because you can feed a giraffe!! Logan and Kira went to check it out last year, and they told us to do the park backwards, and that was the best advice!! We got to see all the cool animals first, including the giraffes!!
This is Hasebo. He is 18 feet tall, and we learned today that a giraffe’s tongue is one inch long, for each foot that he is tall. That means Hasebo’s tonge is 18 inches long!!
We got to feed him carrots, and it was the coolest experience!!
Definitely a bucket list item I didn’t know I had!!
The rest of the park was equally as amazing. They have so many different animals. The park is huge, and it’s a lot of walking, but it was awesome!!
They have camel rides, and a petting karral too!
We ended up spending a few hours wandering around the zoo. We probably could have stayed longer, but we were all starving!
We stopped for lunch at the Cheesecake Factory, before taking mom home and heading back to the pups.
We spent the rest of the day lounging and relaxing. After such a busy morning, I was beat!! Tomorrow we are heading to mom’s hotel pool. It’s pretty fancy, and the dogs can join us!!
