Full Time Trailer Living: Year 2, Day 100

We had such a fun day today!! It was beautiful. The sun was shining, not a cloud in the sky, and it was warm! So we decided today would be a good day to do some exploring.

But first, it was lower fix day. I’m still super sore, but I got out there and got it done!! Then, we hit the road!!

Our first stop was right off the highway, and we’ve driven past it quite a few times without even realizing it was there. Don’t ask me how we missed the world’s largest dinosaurs!!

It’s definitely a neat place to stop and stretch your legs. We’ve stopped at quite a few roadside attractions, and I have to admit this one is one of the coolest.

You can pay $13 a person to go in and see a bunch more dinosaurs, and even climb into the top of the big t-rex, but we decided to save our money.

The other large dinosaur (a brontosaurus I think??) is the gift shop, so we went in that one to check it out.

We had fun wandering around and checking it out, and then we hit the road and headed for the mountains. We’ve never checked out the mountains up close, just admired them from afar, so we were excited to do the drive.

The roads were ridiculous. Lots of switchbacks and big drops. It was so cool!!

And we saw snow!!

It was funny to see all the people stopped to play in the snow. We opted to keep on driving, but we did drive through a cute little town called Idyllwild that I’d like to go back and explore.

They call this road the Palms to Pines highway, and it was a beautiful drive. I can’t believe we waited so long to do it!

When we got home, we had dinner and then went over to the hot tub. There’s a rally here, and their group has had entertainment at the clubhouse every night. Tonight was a luau, complete with hula dancers and a fire show. We were able to watch it from the hot tub, and I’m bummed we didn’t bring our phones to get some pictures.

We ended up soaking in the hot tub and enjoying the show for well over an hour! It was so much fun!!

Tomorrow is suppose to be perfect suntanning weather, so our plan is to enjoy the sun and hang around the park. I guess there’s another storm coming our way, so we have to enjoy it while we’ve got it!!
