Full Time Trailer Living: Year 2, Day 129

We had a super busy day today. Our original plan was to go to the Palm Springs Aerial Tram, which goes to the top of Mount San Jacinto. That’s the mountain we can see from our trailer!! The tram is the number one thing to do in the area according to TripAdvisor, and I still want to do it, but the reviews said to buy your tickets online or you’ll have to wait upwards of 3 hours and there were no tickets available. So that was a bummer, but we had a backup plan, and I have to say, our backup plan was pretty epic!!

We hit the road around noon, and headed towards the Salton Sea!! That was not our final destination though!! I did some research, and found out there was this town not too far away from us called Borrego Springs, and they have some pretty amazing sculptures.

I knew we had to check it out!! I didn’t realize we’d be doing some offroading!!

But it was totally worth it!

They’re all made of metal, and the details on them are amazing!!!

All in all, there are over 100 sculptures all around town and in the desert surrounding the town.

I was shocked at how spread out they were, so needless to say we didn’t get to see them all, but the ones we saw were so cool!!

I have to say, the serpent was my favorite.

It was 350 feet long, and so cool!!

Can you believe that’s all metal?? It was really something!! We had so much fun checking out the sculptures, and we even found a cool boondocking spot along the way!! So now we have a better idea of where we’re headed when we leave our spot in Desert Hot Springs.

We stopped by the Salton Sea on our way home because there were a ton of paramotors in the air!!!

Jeff has been talking about trying this for a while now, and I think this just made him want to try it even more!!

We got home as the sun was setting.

After dinner, I decided to get another video done. I started on, and almost finished our trip to the dinosaurs. It should be done and uploaded tomorrow!! Stay tuned!
